1. Plan your next visit and create a Virginia Wine account.
Registering on virginiawine.org gives you access to personalize your Virginia Wine experience. From creating and saving itineraries to opting-in to receive updates for upcoming events at your favorite wineries, your next adventure awaits.
2. Download the Virginia Wine app for easy access on-the-go.
Downloading the Virginia Wine app to your mobile device allows for quick and easy access to saved itineraries, event details and wine region maps.
If you find yourself exploring Virginia’s picturesque wine country you can search for nearby wineries and their offerings. It’s the perfect time to venture out to a winter winery experience.
3. Buy and support local.
Finding wine has never been easier. Whether you’re visiting wineries or sipping from the comfort of your home, find retailers that can connect you with local bottles. Your continued local support means the world to our #vawine community.
4. Join an event.
As you find yourself craving connection and wanting to try something new, check out winery events. While prioritizing safety and adhering to guidelines, wineries are offering a variety of events. Search by location, region or event type to find events near you.
If you prefer to keep your activities virtual, join us on March 27 to celebrate Open that Bottle of Virginia Wine Day with Frank Morgan of Drink What YOU Like. You’ll have a chance to join Virginia wine lovers from all over for a toast with your favorite local bottle.
5. Prepare to taste the best of Virginia.
At the beginning of each year, the Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition judging takes place to unveil the best of Virginia wine. Stay tuned to see all the wineries taking home a coveted gold medal. Then, join us for the reveal of the top twelve scoring wines that will create the winning case and to discover which wine will rise to the top to The Cup itself.
