Founded in 2017, Amber Ox welcomes its guests to an exceptional dining experience. Commune isn’t just farm-to-table — it’s their-farm-to-your-table. In 2017, their owner purchased 21 acres of what is now an all-natural, working and educational farm in Virginia Beach. Most of their growing happens on the farm now, but herbs and garnishes can be found right behind the restaurant in their 2,000 square foot garden. A restaurant this committed to sourcing locally understands the value of serving local wines alongside their offerings.
Virginia Mountains & Shenandoah Valley
Named one of the 13 Best Romantic Restaurants in Roanoke, River & Rail has taken the Roanoke and New River Valleys by storm. With a menu that changes daily based on the ingredients most recently sourced, Virginia wines are sure to pair well with the vegetables and herbs grown in the same soil.
“The Shack started with a simple idea — to serve the highest quality food without pretense.” The Shack has lived up to this idea, under the watchful eye of Chef Ian Boden. A James Beard Semi-Finalist Best Chef Mid-Atlantic, Ian creates dishes that reflect the area’s forward trajectory while respecting its storied past; a shared attitude with the Virginia winemakers featured on The Shack’s wine list.
