Every October, Virginia Wine Month invites us to raise a glass to the people and places that make Virginia Wine thrive. Beyond the vineyards and tasting rooms, there’s another group helping shape the story of Virginia Wine — the restaurants, wine bars, and retailers who bring local bottles to your table.
The Stewards of Virginia Wine Awards honor these champions of Virginia’s wine industry. The program recognizes businesses that go above and beyond to share the best of the Commonwealth, whether through by-the-glass offerings, themed flights, seasonal events, or dedicated staff education.
When you see Virginia Wine featured on a menu, behind a bar, or on a retail shelf, there’s a good chance a Steward helped make it happen. Their creativity and commitment make it easier than ever for wine lovers to explore what’s grown right here at home.
